We had the good fortune of connecting with Tasha Nicholson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tasha, what is the most important factor behind your success?

For me the most important factors behind success is providing great customer service, being down to earth and humble. People want to feel comfortable, be able to relax, vent, talk, and chill all while getting pampered and recieving a quality service. I’m fortunate that my industry and business allows me to set the atmosphere and provide a feel good experience to my guests.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

I’m known for my transformations. I love to give people a “look”. My style of makeup is glam. I love to go all out.I think thats what sets me apart from other artist doing the same thing I do. My style as well as the environment I provide make for a whole experience. You have stylist that work in salons with other stylist as well as stylist that work from home. I work with people one on one so there’s no waiting, crowding, or anything else taking away from the clients time. Alot of people appreciate that. As with anything there are always challenges that have to be overcame. It can and does get hard and discouraging at times but you just have to press forward.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

I love to laugh and I looove margaritas so I would definitely have to hit up a comedy club and an amazing cocktail spot.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

I have to give a huge shoutout to my Property owners Viveca and Robert Stock who believed in me enough to help me expand my business and double my space. I will always be forever grateful to them for trusting my skill and business sense enough to invest me. Shoutout to my mom Margaret Jackson for encouraging me to press on when I want to throw in the towel and an obnoxious shoutout to my clients that have became family! We laugh together, cry together, and uplift each other all while keeping business business! I love that my client base respects my business and me as an entrepreneur thats extremely important to me because I’ve worked hard to get where I am. I’m thankful for the good people I’ve met on my journey.
